It's always proved to be baloney once you get into power.

The best example is Scottish Liberal Ministers, who:
* approved the planting of GM crops in Charles Kennedy's constituency, ignoring your own conference;
* failed to deliver any cuts in climate change emissions;
* approved a vastly expensive motorway through Glasgow, ignoring the damning public inquiry, while Liberal Democrat MPs complained in Westminster about Labour's road-building plan;
* forced through a new motorway around Aberdeen, with a route which wasn't even on the consultation list, a road which is like a join-the-dots of SSSIs, ancient woodland and beautiful villages;
* abstained on ID cards;
* went along with Labour plans for nuclear power;
* claimed to have abolished tuition fees by simply renaming them and changing the payment date - although earlier this year they voted with the SNP and the Greens to deliver actual abolition;
* let renewables stagnate;
and so on and so forth.

The fact is there's only one green party, (actually there's three, one for England and Wales, one for Scotland, and one for Northern Ireland).

As you might imagine, it's the honesty result from your numbers which grieves me most..James Mackenziehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07707473889170111139noreply@blogger.com
